Sample Shympaty Card :

Appointment

What is an Appointment Letter?
An appointment letter is a legal document that serves as a written confirmation that your organization has agreed to employ someone and that person has agreed to work for your organization in return for pay.
In it are listed all the main terms and conditions of employment. It must state all the fundamental terms without fail.
Fundamental terms are those terms described as going to the root of the contract. The contract stands or falls depending on whether these terms are stated or not.
If appointment letters fail to mention the fundamental terms complications can arise later on.
But it is not wise or recommended to state every conceivable terms and conditions. It will become too long and difficult to manage. You will see that this is so as shown in sample appointment letters.
In any event some terms and conditions of employment are implied. These are binding although not stated.

How an Appointment Letter Looks Like
As indicated in this sample appointment letter, such a letter is prepared using the organization's letterhead, containing the logo, address and contact.
It is dated and has a reference number.
It is addressed to the successful applicant using the address that he or she has given in the application letter or form.
The heading is usually in bold capital letters positioned at the centre of the page.
There is a one-line space between the heading and the commencing paragraph.
The first paragraph informs the applicant that he or she is offered the position that had been advertised and for which he or she had applied for. For example, the vacancy being filled is that of an HR professional.
The following paragraphs list out the fundamental terms and conditions of employment.
One fundamental term that an appointment letter must contain is that the employee is subject to deployment or transfer to any area of the organization's operations including subsidiaries and even associated "companies".
The appointment letter must state that the selected candidate must accept the offer within a specified period of time such as within thirty days from the date of the letter. Do not leave the offer open "forever".
The executive who has the authority "to hire and fire" must sign the appointment letter. This is usually the CEO.
The board of directors can delegate responsibility to an executive whose rank is lower than the CEO by whatever he or she called such as Managing Director, Executive President, and so on.

Number of Copies of Appointment Letter and Distribution
Prepare at least three (3) copies of the appointment letter.
The original copy is forwarded to the successful candidate.
One duplicate copy is for filing.
The third copy of the appointment letter is forwarded to the successful job applicant if you want the person to indicate his or her acceptance on the appointment letter itself. It is returned after signing.

  10. GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (GPA)

  11. RULES, REGULATIONS & CONFIDENTIALITY
It is important to state this especially when your organization has no written disciplinary rules and procedures. Sample appointment letters will help.
    Example:
"You shall at all times, devote your full attention and skill to the affairs of the Company and will endeavor to your utmost ability to promote and advance the interests of the Company.
    Accordingly, you undertake that:

    2. you will not at any time during the continuance or after the termination of your services with the Company irrespective of any reason for such termination, make use or disclose to any party either for your own benefit or for the benefit of any party (individual, firm, company, any trade or business), the affairs and confidential information of the Company or any of its related companies of which you have knowledge or become aware during the course of your service with the Company;
    3. you will obey and comply with all reasonable orders and instructions given to you by the Company or its authorized agents and observe all standing and other rules and/or regulations now in force or from time to time approved by the Company.
Sub-paragraph 2 may specify that information available in the public domain is excluded.
  12. TERMINATION This is an important provision. Most if not all appointment letters contain this term.
    Example:
"After confirmation of your employment, notice of termination of employment will be three (3) month’s notice in writing or three (3) month’s salary in lieu of notice from either party.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the Company shall be entitled to terminate your employment without notice, indemnities and compensation in any of the following events:

iii) if you are found to have made illegal monetary profit or received any gratuities or other rewards, in cash or in kind, out of any of the Company’s affairs or any of its subsidiaries or related companies."
  13. RETIREMENT
In the public sector, the compulsory retirement age is imposed by legislation. Other organizations have the option of using such retirement age or any other age subject to legal provisions, if any.
    Example:
The retiring age is at fifty-five (55) years.
In the absence of evidence of the exact date of birth the employee shall retire on 31st December of the year the employee attains fifty-five years of age. You can include this in the appointment letter.
(Note: The retirement age may differ from country to country, from organization to organization and whether you are working in the public or private sector.)

Giving Intantion

Power of Intentions
Deliberate Intentions & the Facet of the Action Involved

Keep Action In Perspective:
  • Don’t try to “figure out” in your head what you should do.
  • Take only inspired actions.
  • Right action comes from the creative, not the competitive, plane.
In Your Life, On A Daily Basis:
  • Charge each action with intentions.
  • Give more in use value than you receive in cash value.
  • Implant the impression of increase in all.
  • Give zestful and astonished appreciation.
  • Start exactly where you are.
Bottom Line:
  • More than fill your present place.

Why the Right Perspective on Action Is So Important:

The right perspective on action is so important because perspective allows us to walk the fine line between those schools of manifesting which counsel us to just ask and ye shall receive (just “think and grow rich”) and those schools counseling hard work and effort in the competitive plane (Marketing 101). I am counseling “the middle way” here – action, yes, but action in a certain way. The four perspectives I am discussing here:
  • Action is important, but only at a certain stage.
  • Don’t try to “figure out” in your head what you should do.
  • Take only inspired actions.
  • Shift from the competitive to the creative plane. …(Unified vs Dualistic)
All of these amount to a radical paradigm shift. We are shifting out of the short-term, in your head, personality-driven, forcing, and competitive orientation into which we have been hypnotized in this western culture. Without these shifts of paradigm, our manifesting actions will remind limited. Each of these paradigm shifts will empower our manifesting actions.

Personal Examples of Intentions:

  • When I wake up, I ask myself "what do I want to feel today?" ANSWER: I want to feel good, happy, empowered, flowing, excited, and clear.
  • When I sit down at the office desk to dig into paperwork, I ask myself "what do I want to feel here?" ANSWER: I want to feel effective, relaxed, and organized.
  • When I am planning for a meeting, I ask myself "what do I want to feel here?" ANSWER: I want to feel insightful, inspired, comprehensive, and powerful."
Now it is your turn. In your routine tasks, what do YOU want to feel? Fill in the blank:
When I am doing _______________, I want to feel _________, _____________, and __________ .

Give more in use value than I receive in cash value:
This is a fundamental Law of Increase. If we are giving more in use value than we are receiving in cash value, we are increasing all life. This principle often concerns lightworkers, because it is easy to use this principle to "give yourself away without healthy boundaries." It does not mean co-dependency. It means packing your actions with value, so that your actions are brimming with your life force.
Personal examples of giving more in use value:
When I do consulting and/or counseling with my clients, I do my intentions (see above) and I commit myself to giving my best. I "go for it". I offer what I know is more valuable for them than the money they are paying me.
Now it is your turn: where in your life, work, or career can you give more in use value than you receive in cash value?
Give the Impression of Increase to All:
This one is fun! You interact with various people all day: clients, salesmen, agents, dry-cleaning clerks, secretaries, friends, family, and colleagues. With all people, see if you can subtly give them the reminder that all of life is increasing. The increase of life is the fundamental imperative of the Universe (The Unifying Field). Have fun reminding people (and yourself!) that this is so.
Give zestful and astonished appreciation:
This is the best! Though it is buried here among all of these other principles, it is so powerful. It is a joy to give gratitudes on a daily, even an hourly, basis. It is important in gazillions of ways to feel appreciation many times a day. Abraham says that appreciation is one of the fastest ways to connect with Source Energy. And since we are working with manifestation and intentions, you can understand just how important is your connection with Source Energy.
What are you grateful for? How many appreciations did you give today? To others? To yourself? To the Cosmos?
Start exactly where you are:
This should come as a big relief. You do not need to change jobs, or partners, or yourself before you can "act in a certain way" to manifest. You can start "acting in a certain way" as you dive into your paperwork, or get your car lubed. You can start on any job, not matter how far it seems to be from your dream.

Personal Letter

I have made two different introductory letters for my Student Teaching experience.  One professional letter (for the parents) and one fun letter (for the students).  I wanted to create something personal and fun for the students to get to know me a little bit better.

Recount Text

Raden Adjeng Kartini

Every April 21, people in Indonesia commemorate the Kartini day. It is a beautiful day for the woman because we celebrate the birth of great lady, RA. Kartini. Everyone knows who Kartini is. She is our national heroine and a great lady with the bright idea.
Kartini was born in 1879, April 21 in Mayong Jepara. Her father was RMAA. Sosroningrat, Wedana (assistant of head of regency) in Mayong. Her mother, MA Ngasirah was a girl from Teluk Awur village in Jepara. As the daughter of a noble family, she felt luck because she got more than the ordinary people got. She got better education than other children. She did anything she wants although it was forbidden. She passed her childhood with her brother and sister. Because she was very energetic, her father called her "trinil"
Then her father was chosen as Bupati (the head of regency) in Jepara. She and her family then moved from Mayong to Jepara. In the same year, Kartini's second sister RA Kardinah was born. The environment in Jepara gave her big chance to develop her idea. She could study at the Dutch owned school where only children from noble family could study here.

Few years after finishing her study, RA. Kartini was willing to continue her study in higher level. But the custom of that day forbid a woman to go to school. A tradition of that time, a teenage girl should be secluded and limited her activity. So was Kartini. She was secluded inside the house and forbidden to go out until a man proposes her. The rule could restrict her body but not her mind. During her "pingitan" time, she spent her time by reading book which she got from her relatives.
Although she was not able to continue her study to higher level, she was smart had a bright idea. She got the knowledge from the books she read. To express her idea, she established a school for local people on the backyard of Jepara city hall.
In November 12, 1903, she married Adipati Djoyodiningrat, the head of Rembang regency. According to Javanese tradition Kartini had to follow her husband. Then she moved to Rembang. In September 13, 1904 she gave a birth to her son. His name was Singgih. But after giving birth to a son, her condition was getting worse and she finally passed away on September 17, 1904 on her 25 years old.
Now Kartini has gone. But her spirit and dream will always be in our heart. Nowadays Indonesian women progress is influenced by Kartini's.

Simple Past Tense

Penggunaan Simple Present tense dalam bahasa Inggris

Rumus untuk Simple Past Tense adalah:
Subject + Verb2 + Object + Modifier
Contoh:
  1. Farmers in Magelang grew rice crops 6 months ago.
  2. Transpiration started to increase 9 hours ago. (Transpirasi mulai meningkat 9 jam yang lalu).
jika subject diikuti oleh adjective atau noun, gunakan be was jika subject-nya I, he, she, it atau noun yang dapat digantikan oleh he, she atau it, dan gunakan were jika subject-nya you, they, we atau noun yang dapat digantikan dengan you, they atau we.
Subject + (was/were) + adjective/noun
Contoh:
  1. He was bad. (Dia (dulu) jelek).
  2. She was a good football player. (Dia (dulu) pemain sepak bola yang bagus).
  3. They were friends. (Mereka (dulu) berteman).

Penggunaan Simple Past Tense Dalam Bahasa Inggris

Contoh:
  1. I went to Pati yesterday. (Saya pergi ke pati  kemarin).
  2. He was my boyfriend. (Dia (dulu) adalah pacar saya).
  3. The tsunami swept Timor Timor and more than a hundred thousand people died.
  4. This plant was 2 meter tall last month but it is almost 5 meters now.
  5. I was a very bad tennis player a year ago but I kick everybody’s ass now.
Contoh:
  1. If I had a pair of wings, I would fly as high as I could.
  2. If he were here now, he could help us solve this math problem.
  3. If my English were very good, I wouldn’t need to read this.
Dalam unreal conditional sentence, be yang digunakan selalu “were“.
Contoh:
  1. He said that he was tired. (Dia berkata bahwa dia lelah).
  2. She said that she couldn’t find her book.
  3. He said that he missed his girlfriend. (Dia bilang bahwa dia rindu pacarnya).

Penggunaan Simple Past Tense Dalam Bahasa Inggris

  • yesterday (kemarin)
  • ago (yang lalu). Misalnya: a minute ago, two days ago, a week ago, three months ago, two years ago, etc.
  • last (yang lalu). Misalnya: last week, last year, last two days, last Monday, last December, etc.
  • this + morning/noon/afternoon/evening.
walaupun ago dan last memiliki arti yang  sama, perhatikan perbedaan letaknya. Ago diletakkan setelah noun yang diterangkannya (i.e. noun + ago), sedangkan last diletakkan sebelum noun (i.e. last + noun).

Negative Form

  1. Tambahkan kata bantu did setelah subject.
  2. Tambahkan not setelah kata bantu did.
  3. Rubah verb2 menjadi verb1.
Subject + (did) + not + Verb1 + Object + Modifier
Note: Jika kalimat positifnya menggunakan to be was atau were, kata bantu did tidak diperlukan. Yang perlu dilakukan di sini hanyalah menyisipkan  not setelah to be.
Contoh:
  1. I did not go to Kuta beach yesterday. (Saya tidak pergi ke pantai Kuta kemarin).
  2. The tsunami did not sweep Medan. (Tsunami tidak  menyapu Medan).
  3. This plant was not 2 meters tall last month.
  4. I was not a very good badminton player a year ago.

Penggunaan Simple Past Tense Dalam Bahasa Inggris

Yes/No Questions

Yes/No Questions untuk Simple Past Tense adalah sebagai berikut:
Did + Subject + Verb1 + Object + Modifier?
Note: Jika kalimat positifnya menggunakan verb be (i.e. was atau were), tempatkan verb be sebelum subject.
Contoh:
  1. Did farmers in Magelang grow rice crops 6 months ago?
  2. Did some students conduct research on vegetative plant propagations last year?

Narrative Text

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mother and two step sisters. The step mother and sisters were so unkind to Cinderella. They treated Cinderella very badly. Cinderella had to do the hardest household chores; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot and pan and preparing the food for the family. While, The two step sisters did nothing. One day, the two step sister received an invitation to come to the ball that the king’s son was going to give at the palace. They were excited about this and spent so much time choosing the dresses they would wear. Cinderella wanted to go along with them, but she had to do much work at home, she spent the night crying.“Why are crying, Cinderella?” a voice asked. it was fairy godmother standing beside her, “because I want so much to go to the ball” said Cinderella. “Well” said the godmother,”you’ve been such a cheerful, hardworking, uncomplaining girl that I am going to see that you do go to the ball”. Magically, the fairy godmother changed a pumpkin into a fine coach and mice into a coachman and two footmen. Her godmother tapped Cinderella’s raged dress with her wand, and it became a beautiful ball gown. Then she gave her a pair of pretty glass slippers. “Now, Cinderella”, she said; “You must leave before midnight”. Then away she drove in her beautiful coach.Cinderella was having a wonderfully good time. She danced again and again with the king’s son. Suddenly the clock began to strike twelve, she ran toward the door as quickly as she could. In her hurry, one of her glass slipper was left behind.

A few days later, the king’ son proclaimed that he would marry the girl whose feet fitted the glass slipper. Her step sisters tried on the slipper but it was too small for them, no matter how hard they squeezed their toes into it. In the end, the king’s page let Cinderella try on the slipper. She stuck out her foot and the page slipped the slipper on. It fitted perfectly. Finally, she was driven to the palace. The king’s son was very happy to see her again. They were married and live happily ever after.
